They also never ever get aggressive or grouchy with the kids. The old one will just walk away if he doesn’t like what they are doing, but the younger ones are basically stuffed animals. We don’t let the kids be mean of course, but the dogs love their snuggles and kisses. When our daughter was three, we had kittens. She helped with feeding and watering them, and we taught her how to play with them safely and responsibly. Before that, we had a Betta fish, and she helped her dad feed him and clean his water.
