I was the only person in a 3 bedroom house with cleaner and gardener included. The landlord continued to pay the service charge for utilities so I only paid for the energy used and phone calls made. The reason for this amazing arrangement was that my landlord had moved in with his girlfriend on a trial basis and basically didn’t want his house to sit empty. He was very particular hence the cleaner and gardener and letting to a single female that was new to the area. As he didn’t want to declare the income to the taxman there was no formal lease and I paid in cash once a month.
